The Sideline View's Adam Caplan reports the Cardinals are expected to huddle with Kolb's representatives later this week, according to a source. Kolb is set to earn $9 million this season, along with an additional $2 million roster bonus due Saturday.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported last month that Kolb's future with the team is "up in the air." There's no way the Cardinals bring Kolb back at his current cost, and there's little to suggest Bruce Arians is galvanized by the 28-year-old passer who's started just 14 games for Arizona over two seasons.

If talks don't lead to a restructured deal and Kolb is set free, he quickly becomes the top prize in a shallow quarterback market.

haha. $11 mill ? and he's already been paid $20 mill for the past 2 seasons.

they should just give him his $2 mill roster bonus, rip up his contract and tell him that's all he's going to make this season and if he can finally earn the starting spot and do well, then they'll look at a new contract after the season.
