Looking at some of our past activity, Im starting to think that maybe we really want to get a FS with more Man to Man capability's then say a Center Fielder type, more of an Earl Thomas then say a Nate Allen.

Most of the stuff is small potato's, just blips on the radar, but since Phillips has came in we....

-Toyed with the idea of converting Henry

-Drafted Courtney Brown and converted him to FS

-Supposedly targeted Darcel Bath last year, and settled on Deangelo Smith

    - "Converted" Alan Ball from CB to FS

    - Worked Scandirck at the position during the offseason

There is plenty of evidence to the contrary, like the continued presence of Ken Hamlin, and draft Mike Hamlin last year, so alot of this could be just making player's more usefull and giving yourself the ability to put different looks out there.

Some thing to note, Phillips has also said that he view's the Safety position as interchangeable, and our SS spot is a big Man coverage position, as we painfully witness way too much with Roy Williams getting beat like a rag doll by TE's in man coverage, and while not he's great, our secondary as a whole improved once Sensibaugh came in.

What do you guys think, am I on to something, or am I looking to deep into minor moves?
