Running back Tiki Barber's comeback attempt is reportedly inspired by his twin brother Ronde's performance in 2010. To come back for a 15th season, Ronde received a one-year, $4 million contract from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who may be in the market for a veteran backup behind 2010 rookie LeGarrette Blount. Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris wouldn't rule out adding Barber, who will be released from the Giants' "Reserve/Retired" list once his paperwork is approved, but it doesn't sound as though a Barber Family reunion at One Buccaneer Place is in the cards. "You know me, we always discuss those guys who can help us," Morris said, according to Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times. "Obviously, we haven't been going in that direction and coming off the layoff and all that stuff and where it's going to go, where our young football team is, I don't know if we have the ability to do that. I'm sure he can help someone, if not us, if it ever came to that.'' Source: Mac's Football Blog
Tiki's not inspired by his brother's performance last year. He's inspired more by the need to pay the child support, divorce settlement, AND eat at the same time. He'll get money, but at what cost? He's been out of football for 5 years. Tiki'll probably make a pre-season roster, but I really don't think he'll see much time during the regular season.
Not just no but FREAK NO. Why do we need him? So he can throw his teammates and coaches under the bus every chance he gets.
Yeah man he would throw Raheem Morris under the bus in a second for taking his butt and extending his career, just like he did with Coughlin who saved his career.
