Keeping track of Hue Jackson reports from various NFL analysts: Charley Casserly of The NFL Today on CBS said he spoke with both Jackson and his agent, and that Jackson has not been fired. Casserly said Kennard McGuire, the agent for both Jackson and new general manager Reggie McKenzie, told him McKenzie “planned to come in this week and evaluate the entire organization.â€￾ Jay Glazer of The NFL on Fox reported McKenzie was to meet with Jackson Monday and that it was his feeling Jackson would remain as head coach. The Raiders made no announcements Sunday and aren’t expected to say anything until Tuesday, when McKenzie is introduced at a 2 p.m. press conference.

After all the trades, and deals made with players over the last year and half, firing Hue is just not a good move. At the very least, He gets the next year with his QB to show he can make this team work. However not making the playoffs next year might mean both he and Palmer are gone, and rightfully so.

I'm anxious to see how that meeting will go considering the rumors that Reggie might bring in his own guy.

I think it's nothing more than a rumor... The team has invested so much in the Hue/Palmer relationship, I don't see them going a different route, at least for the next year.
