Darren McFadden missed Sunday’s game against Baltimore because of an ankle sprain, but his 2012 season isn’t anywhere near the expectations that many had for him back in August. A lot of his struggles can be attributed to the team’s zone-blocking scheme, which they changed a few weeks ago against the Chiefs. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports writes that unless the Raiders start to adjust their offensive to better suit McFadden, “they would be better off trading him in the offseason.†McFadden is under contract through the 2013 season, so the team could always choose to wait and address his contract at a later point in time. Ultimately, this will come down to the team’s willing to adjust their offense and whether or not they feel that McFadden is the type of player to build an offense around. Source: NFL Trade Rumors
dude can't stay healthy. not sure he's worth a whole lot at this point. i suppose i would maybe give up a conditional draft pick depending on how many games he stays healthy........... and i would definitely structure his contract based upon him staying healthy.
