Bruce Gradkowski will start at quarterback for the Oakland Raiders this week, a source with knowledge of the situation said Wednesday. Gradkowski replaced Jason Campbell last Sunday, and the Raiders went on to beat the St. Louis Rams 16-14. Gradkowski will practice with the starters and be under center against the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday, according to the source. Campbell, who was 8-of-15 passing with an interception at the time he was pulled Sunday, was acquired from the Washington Redskins during the offseason and signed to a contract extension, but he lost his job after playing less than two full regular-season games. Gradkowski, who completed 11 of 22 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown Sunday, rallied the Raiders to some upset wins last season after replacing former No. 1 overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell. Yezzir!!! Bruce just makes the team better for some reason. The WRs are on the same page, the line plays better, the defense hustles harder. I don't know what it is but the troops rally around him when he's on the field.
I love Bruuuuuuce, the team plays so much better when he's in there, I love it. Feel bad for JC though, hope he can find a team that suits him come the offseason.
Sounds crazy to me, but if you guys are happy, I suppose it's the right move. Seems like quite a head-scratcher to have gone out and gotten Campbell to start when they had this guy all along.
I love this move... anyone who actually watched this guy played last year and saw what he's been able to do along with coming into this year should appreciate this move. If Bruce hadn't have his knees taking out last year i dont think would have gone after Jason Campbell.
i agree 100% with this its exactly what i was going say I dont know what it is but the man just runs the show great. Lets go bruce almighty
