Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer said at his introductory press conference Tuesday that he's fully recovered from an elbow injury that sapped his arm strength from 2008-2010 and that he is "throwing the ball as well as ever". "I'm healthy. I'm 100 percent healthy," Palmer said. Palmer added that he rehabbed for a year 1/2 to two years after the injury. Palmer said that he's has been throwing to former Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh in recent weeks. Palmer has been hampered with elbow, knee injuries since 2007. Palmer also said that he will hit the playbook, study videotape, etc, as soon as possible. Source: Steve Corkran: Twitter.com
Houshmanzadeh said the same before Palmer's presser. Said that he noticed more zip on Palmer's throws this off-season than he has in the past and asked him about it. Palmer said it was still injured last season. He's been throwing to Housh for much longer than recent weeks. More like months.
I am not surprised that his elbow wasn't fully healed last year. I don't think Carson Palmer is that good anymore, hes probably mediocre at best. Not worth what the Raiders gave up
