When quarterback Jeff Garcia signed a free-agent deal with the Raiders, eyebrows raised throughout the league. And the 39-year-old Garcia is doing nothing to dispel the notion that he plans to play. "Not knocking JaMarcus or anybody else on the team, but I just have a belief in my own abilities," Garcia tells Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times.

We all know that he can play, but as far as it goes, it does not say that he won't warm the bench.

no chance, remember how much Vlad controls and he still thinks JaMarcus is - in his words - a "great player, so get over it."

JaMarcus very well could be a good player he has only started one season. and Jeff i guess your butt should retire then because the bench is where you will stay this is JRock's team

If Russell isn't performing by week 8, even Al Davis will have to make the move to Garcia.
