Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor has a sprained MCL in his right knee, he said after the Raiders' 24-20 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. "My knee is banged up," he said. "I've got a sprained MCL. It just got worse during the week. So I was just trying to come out and play and try to help the team but just didn't feel well today." Pryor, who played with a brace on his leg, initially sprained the knee in last week's home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but practiced this past week with no hindrance. Source: ESPN.com SteveRobWhatever's Take: Pryor injured his knee last week against the Eagles and didn't look right all day long. The Giants held him to just 11 of 26 completions for 122 yards with an interception and a lost fumble. The Raiders only have rookie Matt McGloin on the active roster.
Growing up in Kansas City as a football fan you learn to hate the Raiders more than a severe case of strep throat....so I hate the Raiders. But I would hate to see them lose this guy for any period of time if what he is reporting as a sprain actually is. Primarily because of Pryor the Raiders have become a team that can no longer be counted as an automatic "W" for its opponents and almost fun to watch. I said 'almost'.
