The Falcons finally released quarterback Michael Vick on Friday, giving up any hope of getting something -- anything -- in return by trade for the jailed and fallen star. As a matter of reflex, lots of national football media have linked Vick and the Raiders as a potential match if and when the NFL reinstates Vick from his suspension (for those just emerging from a post-2006 hole, he went to jail for his lead role in a dogfighting business, look it up).
