The 2012 NFL draft hasn’t even begun, and the Raiders already have a member of their draft class pegged to play an important role next season. Terrelle Pryor, a supplemental pick last August who cost the team its third-rounder this year, is the team’s No. 2 quarterback following the first week of OTAs under new head coach Dennis Allen. Although he has never attempted a pass in an NFL game (preseason or regular season), Pryor is the team’s only backup to 32-year-old starter Carson Palmer and could be counted on heavily if Palmer were to be injured. When asked about Pryor’s development, Allen said he has the same goal for the 22-year-old that he does for everyone else on the roster. “What I want to see is that every day he gets a little bit better,†Allen said of Pryor. “That’s what we’re looking for with all of our players. None of us are where we need to be right now.â€
