According to Raiders WRs coach Sanjay Lan, the WRs are coming along "Very good, extremely hard working core. They want to be great. They’re hungry, they’re young. A coach couldn’t ask for more." When asked about the Raiders 1st round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey, Lan replied "All summer he’s been working on a key set of techniques in terms of his catching, concentration, routes and it’s just a matter of time. It needs to come together for him. We just need to get him reps. More reps, more reps, more reps and that’s where it’ll take him to where he needs to go." Source: Oakland Tribune
I like how Tom Cable's coaches are constantly positive. They believe in their coaching Technics and the players they picked.... Granted if success does not follow their heads will roll just like anyone else, but I'm sure they will give that a positive spin too.
For you guys who say I like what I hear so far, what else do you expect the coach to say? "Yea, all these guys are horrible and can't learn a thing."
