Defensive end Eugene Sims, a small-school find out of West Texas A&M, has agreed to terms on a new three-year contract with the Rams. Sims already was under contract through this season, so the new deal extends his contract for two additional seasons through 2015. A sixth-round draft pick in 2010, Sims has steadily improved throughout his time with the Rams. A valuable role player in the line rotation, Sims had a career-high 36 tackles last season and recorded his first career sacks (three) and first interception. He can provide versatility in passing situations by moving inside to tackle, and is an effective special teams player as well. Source: St. Louis Post Dispatch
