The St. Louis Rams have claimed cornerback Quincy Butler off waivers, Howard Balzer of The SportsXchange reports. Butler was waived by the New Orleans Saints on Saturday in order to activate Darren Sharper off the physically unable to perform list. The former undrafted free agent out of TCU had signed with the Saints last Wednesday. The 6-1, 188-pound cornerback started 7 of 14 games for the St. Louis Rams last season, totaling 28 tackles and 5 passes defensed. Prior to last season, Butler had appeared in two games, including one with the Dallas Cowboys during his rookie season. Source: macsfootballpost
