The no-huddle offense has become wildly popular in the NFL but don't count St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher among its fans according to beat writer Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The Rams ran the uptempo style superbly in their failed comeback attempt in Atlanta on Sunday but Fisher pumped the brakes on the idea that the Rams would adopt the style going forward. Fisher cautioned that running no-huddle could give the ball back to the opposing offense quicker and added that high passing stats don't always equal wins. "You look at Sam (Bradford's) 300-yard plus passing games over his career, they've won two," he told Thomas. "We have the ability to do it, and there's a time to do it and a time not to do it." Fisher has always been known as a run-first coach but his attitude is puzzling considering the upgraded offenses weapons he and his GM Les Snead assembled in St. Louis this offseason. QB Sam Bradford ran the no-huddle offense frequently during his days at Oklahoma and has gone on the record as saying he likes running this style, even casual observers haved noted that Bradford plays at his best and looks the most comfortable playing uptempo.
