The St. Louis Rams hope to have veteran Rocky McIntosh signed soon in a move to strengthen themselves at linebacker. According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a deal is in the works for McIntosh after he participated Wednesday in a workout and then participated on a tryout basis in minicamp. McIntosh has been waiting for a deal this offseason and multiple teams have looked at him, including the Chicago Bears. The 29-year-old has played his entire career – six seasons – for the Washington Redskins. McIntosh has 69 career starts and could, at the minimum, be a role player for the Rams, who have really struggled to upgrade themselves at linebacker over the past few seasons.
