It was surprising Sunday to see fullback Brit Miller's name on the Rams' pregame inactive list for their game against the New York Jets. It's no longer a surprise. Miller, a fourth-year pro out of the University of Illinois, was released Tuesday, freeing up a roster spot for center Scott Wells. Wells, a former Pro Bowler for the Green Bay Packers, was removed from the injured reserve/designated for return list and placed on the active roster. He has recovered from the fractured foot he suffered in the season opener against Detroit and could start Sunday in Arizona. Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch
