Bill Coats, of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams QB Marc Bulger is convinced he can return to the form he showed in his earlier days with the team. Bulger is optimistic about the team entering 2009, including his young group of wide receivers. He also said he appreciated the coaching staff making it clear to him that he is their undisputed starting quarterback. Source: Footballguys.com
Many a QB has uttered similar sentiments over the years and, of course, such claims rarely wind up materializing. You won't be the first to fail to live up to your promises, Mr. Bulger, and you won't be the last.
Not bringing in a big name quarterback to challenge him says alot about the franchise, in a good way of course. It's good to see they haven't given up on him, however why would they when they have so much money invested in him. Bringing back Mike Martz would do wonders for him lol. Seriously, he excelled in Martz' scheme. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but last season it really looked like he lost alot of velocity on his throws. Oh and Kyle Boller isn't really big name QB, decent backup option.
