The St. Louis Rams released linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, the team announced today. "This was a difficult decision based on a lot of factors," said Rams Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo. "I have a great deal of respect for Pisa and wish him all of the best." Tinoisamoa, a six-year veteran, led the team with 135 tackles (88 solo) in 2008, after spending part of the 2007 and 2006 seasons on the reserved/injured list.

This is a completely mindless move. Sure he's had a few durability issues during his time in St. Louis but he is a solid, tough component of our D and has always given his all for the team. That now leaves Chris Draft, who is well over the hill and is serviceable at best to fill in at SLB, and tearing up what would have been a beast of an LB Core with Witherspoon, Laurinaitis & Tinoisamoa.

I am seriously pissed off with this move, and I'm certain I won't be alone.

If we had room, i'd take him. But, we drafted Marcus Freeman.

He's too good to backup for you lot anyway.

Seriously, I haven't been pissed off about a move like this since Kurt got the chop.

he's the leading tackler and is only what 27? I don't really understand the move either andy.

He'll be going to my pats. makes sense since losing their draft pick McKenzie for the year.

Stick on a few Rams games, and you'll see he's a horrible fit in a 3-4.

hes like 6-0 225....awful fit for a 34, he needs to play on the weakside in a 43

    theeraser21 u r a slapdick

he would have to be a ILB in a 3-4, not happening. Also the Pats happen to be stacked at ILB at the moment

do you have any idea what a 34 MLB has to do? hes wayyyyyyyy undersized for taking on guards regularly

thats why i said not happening. he is closer to a 34 ilb than a 34 olb

actually hes more like a weakside linebacker in a 4-3 and thats it, he would never play any other position other than a WILL LB an be effective

um, ok. not sure i really understand this move but for some reason they felt he wasn't a fit for their new direction.
