With the 78th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams select Boise St. WR Austin Pettis. A strong, dependable receiver who's been very productive on the college level, Pettis is tough, goes over the middle and extends to make the reception away from his frame. He takes a pounding and makes the tough catch in a crowd, holding onto passes. He uses his frame to shield away opponents. Pettis has been a consistent force in the Boise State offense and is a sure-handed receiver who always comes away with the reception. He has the ability to produce on special teams, which adds to his value.

Like this pick for Bradford and the Rams...wind up being a slot guy there...

But again, he probably would have been around in the 4th. He will add needed size to the position, but we've got too many #2/#3's on our roster already, it's a crowded shuffle of the average.

After such a good first day, the second day has been a flop.

Yeah I agree with them having a plethora of 2s and 3s. I sad that in another thread. If they could pull of a deal for someone like Vincent Jackson, they'd be set for a long time...

  5. not a good pick. He doesn't offer anything other than size that Danny Amendola doesn't offer.
