Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports via twitter that the Rams talks with Josh McDaniels regarding the offensive coordinator job are breaking down and are seeking permission to talk to Falcons assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave and Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell. McDaniels has been the odds-on favorite to be the offensive coordinator for a while now, but evidently he and the Rams are at an impasse. Former Vikings coach Brad Childress is expected to interview for the position sometime this week. Mortensen also reports that the Rams were denied permission by the Jaguars to speak with offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. McDaniels also is in conversation with other unidentified teams, according to a league source. Source: Chris Mortensen: Twitter.com
This is a blessing for the Rams.....Sam Bradford would've had to learn another playbook after coming off an impressive rookie campaign. You don't want to mess with that.
wow, this is weird .......... some form of human communication with McDaniels is not going very well ........... ??? dude probably needs to just be blackballed from the league for a few years to see if he can get his ego squared up before returning ............. he has major short man's disease
He's going to learn a new playbook no matter what. McDaniels runs a fairly similar offense so it wouldn't be completely foreign to Bradford, plus as much as I hate McDouchebag, he can run an offense well (Something that is needed with Spagnuolo).
If the Rams hired someone like Brad Childress.....the Rams playbook would virtually remain the same since Pat Shurmur and Childress ran pretty similar offenses.
