The St. Louis Rams will release linebacker Zac Diles and offensive tackle Renardo Foster, Brian Ayrault, Diles' and Foster's agent, announced this morning on Twitter. "Zac Diles has been released by the Rams after never being given a full and fair opportunity to compete. Zac will find work quickly," Ayrault wrote. A 2007 seventh-round pick out of Kansas State by the Houston Texans, Diles made 223 tackles with a quarterback sack and an interception as a starter in 50 games in Houston before signing a one-year, $1 million contract with the Rams as a free agent this offseason. Diles had eight tackles in four preseason games this summer. Foster was a key backup for the Rams in 2010, appearing in 10 games and making one start at right tackle for concussed Jason Smith. Foster was set to earn $1.2 million on a restricted free agent tender this season. Source: National Football Post
