Randy Johnson has earned his 300th win, becoming the 24th major league pitcher to reach the milestone. The Big Unit allowed two hits and an unearned run over six innings Thursday, leading the San Francisco Giants to a 5-1 victory over the Washington Nationals in the first game of a doubleheader. I was watching part of this down at the pizza shop and hoping that he gets it. I'd hate to have to hear about him chasing this for weeks. Congrats Randy, and good job not hitting a bird!
Favorite Unit moment - watching him throw behind guys and seeing the ball end up in the strike zone. Screw the bird.
I would not add him to my fantasy team, but he was good. Great to see him do it for the team he grew up watching. Congrats.
Definitely!!!!! I was watching that clip again last night on "The Best Damn Top 50".....it's still hilarious seeing the reactions of everyone including Randy, the shock was obvious. If there was any question about him being a HOF'er before this should shut the critics up.
That was a good one too....I felt Kruk acted to much like a cat though. He should've charged the mound.:laughy21:
Also got injured and basically got it thanks to the umpire calling a strike for a ball to Adam Dunn, pathetic. Either way Hanrahan is a joke and would have won it for him. Good job to Randy, probably the last one to do it.
A lot of discussion about how he will be the last one to do it, I mean everywhere their talking about it. No way he'll be the last one, their are just too many talented pitchers out there.
I think Halladay can do it. From what I've read and heard about him there aren't many baseball players that strive for perfection like him.
