Ravens Coach John Harbaugh Didn't Want Ed Reed To Come Back

There was a perception that the Baltimore Ravens were in a bidding war with the Texans over safety Ed Reed.

Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens made it appear that way out of respect for Reed, and it certainly put more money in Reed's pocket. But Ravens coach John Harbaugh wanted Reed back as much as he wants a root canal.

It was the perfect time for both parties to go their separate ways Preston writes.

First off, Mike Preston sucks lol

Secondly i think we can analyze and overanalyze till we are blue in the face but it always come back to one person and one thing. Ozzie Newsome, right player, right price.

Ozzie has actually done a pretty remarkable job of gaining value after some of the players they lost

I believe some of this. Wasn't Reed and Pollard major players in the "revolt" against Harbaugh when he wanted them to practice in full pads?

if he goes out and craps the bed in texas, harbaugh will just say," I told you so." I Do however think that ozzie is the league's best GM!
