Ravens linebacker Tavares Gooden lined up with the first-team defense next to Ray Lewis at inside linebacker and displayed outstanding mobility after missing the majority of last season as he underwent hip flexor and sports hernia surgeries. "Tavares looked fast," Harbaugh said. "To me, he looked like a linebacker. He was really patient, stayed square, played downhill, stayed on the backside of the play. It wasn't just running around like crazy. He played fast as a linebacker, which is good to see." Source: Carroll County Times
From all te reviews i've read he has gotten up to 247 lbs and still looks really fast. The perception of him is that he is small but he is actually a few pounds heavier than Bart Scott. The key is will he be able to do the dirty work inside, we know he can chase down just about anyone. I think we may have another star on our hands.
