When the NFL announces the 2013 schedule Thursday night, all signs point to a Broncos-Ravens rematch as the kickoff game in a new season, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports.

The game would be played Thursday, Sept. 5, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

It would be as though Elvis Dumervil never left. Dumervil and the Broncos lost to the Ravens, 38-35, in double overtime Jan. 12 in Denver.

The Ravens went on to win the Super Bowl, but schedule conflicts have prevented them from receiving the traditional reward of opening the next season at home.

Definitely the premier match up. Don't get all the "hype" for a Steelers/Ravens match up. One of the best rivalries, but the Super Bowl Champions and the Favored Champions in a rematch from last year...trumps the rivalry this time around.
