Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Jared Gaither is headed to Los Angeles on Saturday for another visit with back specialist Dr. Robert Watkins. Originally scheduled to miss 4-to-6 weeks with slight tear in his thoracic disk in early August, Gaither has only practiced one time (on a limited basis on Thursday) and may ultimately be placed on season-ending injured reserve. "Obviously, the clock is ticking on something like that," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said on Friday. Since being chosen in the 2007 NFL Supplemental Draft, the 6-9 tackle from Maryland has started 28 games, primarily at left tackle. Gaither was expected to switch sides with 2009 first-round pick Michael Oher this season, but several ailments have kept him off the field.
