The Ravens placed outside linebacker Adrian Hamilton on season-ending injured reserve Sunday.

Hamilton suffered a wrist injury during the Ravens’ second preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

He was competing for a reserve job at Rush linebacker behind Terrell Suggs.

Hamilton appeared to be somewhat of a long shot to make the team because of Baltimore’s depth at outside linebacker, but he’s viewed as an intriguing pass rush prospect, and coach John Harbaugh had praised Hamilton’s play in the week leading up to him suffering the injury against Atlanta.

Hamilton spent most of last year on the Ravens’ practice squad after originally signing with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent.
