Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta was carted off the field by trainers today during the third full-team practice of training camp. During the first fully-padded practice of camp, Pitta was in a collision with strong safety James Ihedigbo. It was during a pass pattern to the back of the end zone. Although there was no immediate status update on the nature of Pitta's injury, it was serious enough that he had to be helped off the field. As he was carted off the field, Pitta had a towel draped over his face. Source: Baltimore Sun
I got an email from Draft Sharks about an hour ago. They are saying in a report from Pro Football Talk that it's a dislocated hip. He's out at least 6 weeks. As it looks now, he'll miss the season opener against Tennessee.
Schefter is reporting he is done for the year... https://twitter.com/adamschefter/status/361278402390528000
