The Ravens have waived-injured former University of Maryland wide receiver LaQuan Williams with an injury settlement expected after he's examined again. Williams sustained a strained hamstring Thursday night against the St. Louis Rams during a 24-21 preseason finale loss. The former Poly standout was on schedule to return at some point this season, but is expected to reach an agreement with the Ravens to be compensated with an undisclosed amount of weeks of pay as he was waived off the roster. Williams is subject to waivers and is eligible for injured reserve if he clears waivers. He caught a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the preseason opener and recovered a blocked punt for a score against Tampa Bay. Source: Baltimore Sun
