Early Sunday morning, Torrey Smith's 19-year-old brother died in a motorcycle crash and Smith immediately left the team hotel to be with his family. The Ravens said it was unclear whether Smith would return for Sunday night's game against the Patriots, but according to CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora, the wide receiver has told the team he intends to play. La Canfora says Smith has not yet rejoined the team. “The team is taking its cues from him, and will not consider him active until lineups are set, should he opt to change his mind,†La Canfora writes. "This is devastatingly sad, sad news," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said in a statement. "Torrey and his family are a close, special family, and our hearts and thoughts reach out to all of them. Our hearts ache today. We pray for Tevin, his mother, Torrey and the rest of the family. God bless Tevin. … Torrey's priority is his family. We understand that completely." According to the Baltimore Sun, 19-year-old Tevin Smith was involved in a single-vehicle accident when he struck a utility pole. Police say alcohol was not a factor in the accident. Source: CBS Sports
