Now there are conflicting reports of the particulars... Doesn't look like these reports are very accurate. Freaking media. All they try to do is get the scoop first instead of verifying the truth behind the rumors.
Apparently the Rays weren't willing to part with Brignac. I guess when your current shortstop is Jason Bartlett, you can't afford to part with the shortstop of the future, no matter what you get in return.
While I love good defense, these days, you have to expect more than just defense from your shortstop.
