Clinton Portis' head has cleared up enough that he's decided Mike Shanahan would be a good fit for the Washington Redskins. Portis, who has been sidelined since early November following a concussion, endorsed Shanahan to the 'Skins on Tuesday when he appeared on The John Thompson Show on ESPN-980 in Washington. "If they have a change, then of course they would get the thumbs-up vote for me for Coach Shanahan,'' Portis said. "If Coach Zorn is done, I would think that's a great direction to go in, if you can get Coach Shanahan. But I don't know if Coach Zorn will be gone." There is little doubt at this point that Zorn's career as the head coach of the team will last two more games Source: National Football Post
Poris is just trying to save himself a spot on the bench. If I recall Shanahan didn't like him too much.
