The Washington Redskins placed veteran defensive end Adam Carriker on the reserve physically unable to perform list, missing at least the first six games of the season.

Carriker has been dealing with a series of leg surgeries on his quadriceps.

The Redskins waived offensive lineman Jacoby Ashworth with an injury settlement.

They released veteran offensive tackle Jeremy Trueblood, waived-injured linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy and cornerback Ryan Mouton.

Why would they cut Trueblood? He looked pretty good, for a Redskins Offensive Lineman. Besides, HE'S HUGE!
