Redskins coach Mike Shanahan introduced Donovan McNabb, just the two of them occupying the podium with owner Daniel Snyder and General Manager Bruce Allen seated in the audience. McNabb opened by speaking about his goals (winning and winning a Super Bowl) and his surprise at being out after 11 seasons in Philly. "It's about winning. Hopefully I can bring a little bit of winning attitude over." Shanahan pointed out the oft-discussed matter of John Elway's age when he won Super Bowls in Denver and McNabb mentioned that in context of being finished in Philly. "I never knew 33 years old was old," McNabb said. "But I guess I'm too old. I'm a Redskin now and there's one thing that I didn't accomplish and I look to accomplish that here in Washington and that's winning a Super Bowl. We didn't win it in Philly, but it was a great ride. Every time we stepped out on that field, we felt confident that we could win and I look forward to bringing that to Washington." Source: Washington Post

Meh. Sorry you were asked to shoulder more of the load than other QBs. That's why you got paid $80 million or whatever insane amount of money it was.
He held out for more than about three quarters of the interview, but when the tough questions came at the end he just had to do it.
