After 35 years of coaching in the NFL, including three seasons as head coach of the Cardinals in the early 1990s, Joe Bugel has decided to retire. The architect of the famed "Hogs" offensive line with the Redskins in the '80s, Bugel spent the past six seasons coaching again in Washington. "It's a sad day to see such a good coach walk away," said Cardinals assistant head coach Russ Grimm, a four-time Pro Bowl guard for the Redskins from 1981-91. "But all the guys that played for him can say they were thankful because they learned a lot. Not just about football, but life in general and how to treat people. (Retirement) is well-deserved, so sit back, Joe. Relax and watch it on TV and enjoy it a little bit."
