Everyone has an opinion on whether or not the Redskins nickname is appropriate. But the actual members of the Redskins team have been "advised" not to share that opinion publicly. Robert Griffin III said as much Wednesday noting that, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, he "can't really dive into" the subject of the Redskins nickname. "I can't really dive into that. I'm not Native American," Griffin said. "I'm sure I have a little bit of blood in me. But we're not at that authority to know what to do in that." It's not too surprising the team's told the players to keep their opinions on the down low. The Redskins have adamantly defended their usage of the nickname; general manager Bruce Allen backed Washington's name as recently as February. Source: CBS Sports
why should they talk about it when idiots all over the usa are making it their mission in their crapty lives to change the freaking name?
Here's a definitely non-idiot guy without a crapty life that wants it changed... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHCod3tu-JU]Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks is a Badass - YouTube[/ame]
Then I want the Spartans, Minutemen, and all other teams with human-based names renamed because I'm offended. We can only use the names of animals.
Freaking butthole of the year! Oklahoma should chane it's state's name cause it means redman in an indian language! all this talk is freaking stupid! we got enough problems without having to waste time on something this freaking stupid!
Psh I want all animal names chaned for PETA sake. I want letters instead, you know what, the hell with that, non English people would get upset, let's just go by the city, but then city's like LA would get mad, so heck it all.
