Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins participated in the Washington Redskins’ practice Monday and said his sprained right foot continues to improve. “I got a lot of work in today and I felt pretty good,†Cousins said. “I’m going to continue to get better as the week goes on.†Cousins said he expects to be available if needed in Monday night’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles at FedEx Field.
