Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis' groin injury will likely keep him out of next Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. During his weekly appearance on "The Mike Wise Show" on 106.7 The Fan, Portis said that his groin is sore and that he doesn't expect that the team would even let him try to play this Sunday. Portis underwent an MRI on his groin on Monday after he was injured during the 17-12 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and his status for this week likely won't be made known until head coach Mike Shanahan addresses the media on Wednesday. Portis had 11 carries for 55 yards and two receptions for 26 yards against the Eagles. Ryan Torain, a former fifth-round pick by Shanahan when the head coach was running the Denver Broncos in 2008, is capable of filling in if Portis is unavailable. Source: Mac's Football Blog
