Washington Redskins running back Tim Hightower is going to be playing against his friends on Sunday. Hightower admits this week has a different feel to it because he’s facing the Arizona Cardinals–the team he spent his first three NFL seasons with. Six weeks ago the Cardinals traded Hightower to the Redskins in exchange for veteran defensive end Vonnie Holliday and a sixth-round pick. The running back didn’t know why he wasn’t valued in Arizona. “I’m not sure,†Hightower said when asked why things didn’t work out in the desert. “For whatever reason that’s kind of how it is in this league. One guy fits a scheme a certain way, another guy doesn’t. “They used me in the capacity they needed, but I just felt like I wanted my role to be a little bit different.†It didn’t take him long to feel at home on his new team, perhaps it’s because he’s playing in system that’s a better fit.
