The Washington Redskins have signed a dozen undrafted rookie free agents. That includes Virginia cornerback Chase Minnifield, the son of former Cleveland Browns cornerback Frank Minnifield. Minnifield is coming off knee surgery conducted in January. The other signings: Syracuse running back Antwon Bailey, Southern Miss wide receiver Kelvin Bolden, Louisiana Tech running back Lennon Creer, Oklahoma State center Grant Garner, Alabama wide receiver Darius Hanks, Cal linebacker Donnell Holt, Jacksonville State linebacker Monte Lewis, East Carolina wide receiver Lance Lewis, New Hampshire linebacker Brian McNally, Hawaii defensive tackle Vaugn Meatoga and Michigan running back Michael Shaw. Amazing how a year ago some people were saying Minnifield was going to be a better prospect than Ras-I Dowling and Chris Cook. Quite a plummet.
