The Washington Redskins have officially listed starting strong safety Brandon Meriweather as questionable for Monday’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Meriweather has been hampered by a groin injury all week and was limited in each of the team’s practice sessions – including Saturday’s walkthrough.

Meriweather spent the offseason working his way back from ACL surgery last fall, and played the first two quarters of the preseason finale against Tampa Bay.

Meriweather’s surgically repaired right knee didn’t suffer any setbacks after the game, but he injured his groin in Monday’s practice.

The team listed nose tackle Barry Cofield (hand) and backup quarterback Kirk Cousins (foot) as probable.
