Jason Reid of the Washington Post reports that the Redskins still would prefer to trade defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth before the season, according to people with knowledge of the situation, if they receive what they want in exchange for a player who has appeared in only 12 games for them and received $32 million - including $21 million on April 1. Frustrated about the coaching staff's plan to use him as a nose tackle, Haynesworth has skipped all but one day of Coach Mike Shanahan's first offseason program. The two-time all-pro selection plans to report for the mandatory three-day minicamp beginning June 16, according to people close to Haynesworth.

We should pick him up to replace Pat Williams when he retires.

I am sure there are a lot of teams that would want him but not the price tag the Redskins put on him.
