A day after the Washington Post reported that the Redskins ticket office had been illegally selling tickets into online markets, it was revealed that the football team has been engaging in an even less sympathetic practice: suing season-ticket holders who are no longer able to afford their contracts. According to the Post, over the past five years, the Redskins have sued 125 season-ticket holders for an amount totaling $3.6 million.

I read another article on this a couple days ago as well. The Redskins have also been suing corporations who have ditched their skyboxes. The Skins have won $8 million in judgments in eight cases.

Snyder is a money grubbing pr**k... I feel sorry for Skins fans almost, to put up with his bs first the tailgating bullcrap and now this has been brought to peoples attention.

    Snyder has ruined the skins.

Bad thing is they claim to have a waiting list on the season tickets (b.s.) and everyone knows it's crap. If it was true they could just sell the tickets to the next person in line instead of suing people who can't afford them anymore.

It's not bullcrap. My friend got his number called up this year after 4 years waiting. Not a particularly long waiting list, but a waiting list none the less.

Then why do people call (what seems like all the time) into the local stations saying the skins were calling and emailing them even up to a year later seeing if they wanted their old seats back.

I dunno, maybe it's certain sections.

It is certain sections from what I've seen/heard in this area. Club level seats are really hard to sell b/c they're ridiculously expensive. I've heard stories of them needing help selling club level but some cheaper sections have back ups.

Anecdotal story: My grandfather has had season tickets since RFK in the 60's (same section as the Hoggettes). He has long since discontinued them for personal reasons but he said the price increase over the FedEx years was really expensive.

I know I'm a fan of Jerry's world which I'm sure has the same expense issues etc. I honestly feel beyond a couple of trips it is nicer watching games home on TV than dealing with traveling to the stadium and watching from the stands. Atleast that's how I feel when I've been to Fedex. Going to RFK it was an easier travel experience (though I was younger then and not driving).
