Days after the Indianapolis Colts surprised some by releasing Kelvin Hayden, the veteran CB is set to visit the Washington Redskins this week, according to a league source. Hayden, 28, has been a starter for the Colts over the past four seasons, but has missed time each of the past three seasons due to injuries. Hayden played in 11 games in 2010, notching 61 total tackles with two interceptions. Clearly, the Colts didn’t warm up to the hefty sum due Hayden this season, almost $9 million in base salary.
