Reached this morning at his home outside of Atlanta, former Patriots and Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour indicated that he was not considering a return to New England in the wake of Vince Wilfork's season-ending Achilles injury. When asked if he'd come back to the Patriots, where he was part of all three Super Bowl championship teams, Seymour chuckled, responding "No way." Source: TheRedzone.org SteveRobWhatever's Take: I doubt the Patriots would have reached out to him anyway. The Seymour/Patriots era ended with some hurt feelings on both sides. Now Seymour is a veteran who thinks he's worth way more than he really is. I wouldn't expect him back this year unless there is a desperate team looking to open up their wallets for his demands. The Patriots never struck me as a franchise to make desperate moves.
Seymour's too busy taking flying lessons. Even with Wilfork going down, no chance NE asks him back or Seymour wanting to return.
