TNAsylum: Breaking News: ROH Releases TJ Perkins TJ Perkins wrestled for TNA sporadically throughout the years as a luchador wrestler named Puma. Tonight after being released from RoH he wrestled a Dark Match vs Zema Ion. RoH really dropped the ball on Perkins he has all the talent you could every want and even though hes young he has many years of experience as he was wrestling on the Indy circuit at 14 years old. They routinely made him a jobber and it was kind of annoying to see him jobbed out to guys he was clearly better then. I think RoH knew he was only there for a short time and didn't want him getting over then bailing. Glad to see TNA taking a shot with him I was actually hoping to see him in the X-Division Tournament but I am fine with this. I am a huge Perkins fan and looking forward to seeing him in TNA if they sign him.
Perkins isn't my cup of tea but it's good to see these guys getting a chance on a larger stage. ROH has really dropped the ball in being the third big promotion in the US. Their loss is becoming TNA's gain. First they poach Kenny King, now they are flirting with T.J. Perkins. How long before we see ROH stars like Tommaso Ciampa and Mike Bennett on TNA? ROH has some guys that could be money if used right. Perkins biggest detriment is he's young. Sign him up, send him to OVW for a while and get some mass on him. He could be a cornerstone for the X Division down the road.
