Robert Mathis made the switch from a 4-3 defensive end to a 3-4 outside linebacker last year, and now he is on the move again.

This time, per the Indianapolis Star, Mathis is moving over from strongside linebacker to weakside or "rush' linebacker in the Indianapolis Colts defense.

That move should give Mathis more opportunities to sack the quarterback, as he moves into the spot vacated by Dwight Freeney, who was not brought back as a free agent and eventually signed with the San Diego Chargers. Free agent pickup Erik Walden is now starting in Mathis' old strongside spot.
