With 44 career starts and now 10 snaps in Friday's preseason opener, the new Chicago Bears coaching staff has plenty to review when it comes to J'Marcus Webb.

For one day, at least, the right tackle has been demoted. The Bears are using rookie Jordan Mills, a fifth-round pick from Louisiana Tech, with the first unit Sunday afternoon in the first practice since the 24-17 loss at Carolina.

Veteran offensive tackle Jonathan Scott remains sidelined with a sore right knee. He started five games at right tackle last season and would likely be an option if he was healthy.

While demoting Webb prompts a 'WTF took so long' feeling, going with a project like Mills won't stall my brewing alcoholism none...

Hopefully the unemployment line is next for Webb. Webb is in his fourth season and he should be getting better, not worse.

IF Lovie Smith was still in Chicago, I can guarantee Webb would still be practicing with the 1st team in practice and starting on game day. Finally, a head coach that has a sack big enough to demote his butt.
