Most Saints fans assume a veteran free agent will be signed to replace Mark Brunell as Brees' backup. And indeed, Saints officials have said another arm likely will be added before training camp starts next month which the Times-Picayune speculates could be veteran free agent Patrick Ramsey who has bounced around the league. Ramsey is a native of Louisiana and played his collegiate career in Louisiana at Tulane University. The Saints current backup is second year man Chase Daniel who played at Missouri. ESPN's Chris Mortensen wrote on his Twitter account that "2 things you can basicallly bank on : Mark Brunell to the Jets & Patrick Ramsey to the Saints come mid-July as backup QBs."
